Quebec announced the first steps of a reopening plan allowing for a potential historic moment: a Leafs and Canadiens playoff game with fans in the stands. And as Canada reaches the brink of surpassing the U.S. in first doses, crossing the border to get a vaccine are permitted with conditions, even if it’s generally shut for another month.

Rod Baker resigned from his casino operation after he and actress wife Ekaterina flew into Beaver Creek, Yukon, allegedly to get a first Moderna dose in January. Their lawyer now being expected to enter a plea deal for the couple is infuriating the locals. While initially fined $2,300, the Bakers were sent to the end of the line for a second shot.


“You posted that you received the vaccine a while back correct? Not a usual question to ask an acquaintance but did you notice any changes in your period?” The mayor of West Lincoln township, Dave Bylsma, asked this question of a constituent in a Facebook message, which drew condemnation from the chair of Niagara Region. Bylsma was already under investigation for participating in an Ontario lockdown protest in April.


Bouncing out the bored Bob

Bell Media’s shift to more syndicated radio got another brand as Bounce became the name of 25 stations across Canada. The playlist of ’80s, ’90s and ’00s pop parallels similar strategies for Move, Pure Country and Virgin Radio. It also spells the end for the retro stations called Bob FM, which initiated the classic hits trend of 2002 in Winnipeg:
