Donors to the Freedom Convoy 2022 campaign on GoFundMe turned out to include $13,000 from Jagmeet Singh’s brother-in-law—who an NDP source said didn’t fully understand the organization. (He’s waiting on a refund.) Justin Trudeau labelled them a “small fringe minority” as the protest attracts unsavoury support.

Five days of isolation will keep the PM off the Ottawa streets when the truckers turn up. The exposure to COVID-19 reportedly occurred at a Parliament Hill press conference to mark the end of a virtual cabinet retreat. A previous isolation phase for Justin Trudeau was a four-week affair amidst some celebrity chaos in March 2020.


Spotify abides by Neil Young’s music removal request. The deletion of his initial demand led Donald Trump Jr. to speculate that Young had no say in the matter, but Spotify would rather retain Joe Rogan. SiriusXM seized the moment by relaunching Neil Young Radio via satellites, which also hosts a channel starring Donald Trump Jr.


Global News Radio branding is gone from most stations. Corus Entertainment is sticking with it for the all-news format in Edmonton, but the local talk outlets are back to their individual identities. A rebranding in 2017 sought to bolster the fortunes of the AM stations, which later experienced a series of newsworthy firings and resignations.
