“Knowing that I won’t be prime minister, I discontinued that process,” Andrew Scheer revealed about his dual citizenship, as he rides out being lame-duck Conservative leader until a successor is chosen. Meanwhile, any chance of previous interim leader Rona Ambrose returning to politics was doused by her joining the board of Juul.

Ontario Liberal leader Steven Del Duca made a parody attack ad to accuse Doug Ford of shooting a cherry cheesecake recipe video (filmed at his late mother’s house) as a distraction from dealing with COVID-19 deaths in long-term care facilities. His legacy is considered in a London Review of Books piece on “Instapoetry.” Clare Bucknell notes he “writes about women in a way that makes you suspect he’s never met any.”
